I was standing next to Chris when he shot his XXXXXX so I can confirm not all his shots were as planned. As Chris fired one shot he let go an ooops, looked in the spotting scope and was silent. I thought hmmmm this mustn't be good, so I had a look also, you can guess the result and I'm not going to print my comments.

2010 Whitehorse Challenge Results

A enjoyable day was had by all 30 Archers that attended the Whitehorse Challenge at Box Hill City Archers today. Windy conditions caused complaints from some and others thrived, but all said a good time was had. It was impressive to see some good shooting by a few of the younger archers, I think we may have seen some future stars at Box Hill today. The results can be seen in the results section of this website. Well done to Faye Logan on a great win and also to young Harri Howden who shot particularly well to come in second place and Ben Jackson finished third in his first competition. Great Effort to all.

National & State Indoor results

Three of our members ventured down to Morwell to try their luck at the indoor titles. While for some of us it was just an opportunity to shoot a round that we don't normally get the chance to do, it was clear one had different intentions. Chris wood continued his hot streak by not only winning his division in Victoria, he also won his division nationally. Chris shot in the Masters Mens Compound, his scores would have placed him 3rd in the Open Mens Compound division in Victoria and 6th in the Open Mens Compound Nationally.

Club Record - Adelaide

Today Chris Wood took the axe to his previous club record for the Adelaide round of 1151 by shooting a 1160, this makes it 4 club records Chris has set in the last 2 months. Great shooting (again) Chris

2010 Sherbrooke Challenge

Angus logue had a great time at the recent Sherbrooke challenge event taking out 2nd place in the individual event and being part of the team that took out 1st place in the teams event. Well done Angus

Chris Wood sets another record

Today Chris Wood smashed his previous Club Record of 1148 for the Sydney round. The record had stood for just on two years until today when Chris shot 1163 in near perfect conditions. This continues Chris' run over good form over the last few months, lets hope there's many more shoots like today.

Waverly Archery Club

Waverly Archery Club recently appeared in the Waverly leader. The story was reporting on Waverlys' come and try program, any participants recieve a ticket to the new Robin Hood movie. The members who appeared in th photo shoot were asked to dress in "Robin Hood" style clothing. See if you can recognise one of BHCA's members

Equal Club Record - Short Fita

Well Chris Wood was at it again last weekend equaling his own Club Short Fita record of 1353. Chris has been having a bit of a hot run with club records over the last few months with 3 club records.

Great work mate keep it going.

New Club Record - Launceston

The Club Record for a Launceston round has been broken for the second time this month. Chris Wood has recorded a 689 which beat the previous record of 685 which Chris Grosvenor shot on the 4th April 2010.

New Club Record - Freemantle

Congratulations goes to James Byron for shooting a new Club Freemantle Record - 1363. This beat the previous Freemantle record of 1346 held by Chris Wood.

State Short Range Championships

2 day Adelaide shoot

A group of very dedicated (read desperate) archers took a gamble that paid off today, we completed the Adelaide round that was washed out during the mid round break on Saturday. Take a look at the video below, you can see the water just begin to rise, the photos above show how quickly the range gets flooded. Time difference is about 20 minutes.
